The hotel, food, etc was excellent. Four themed restaurants which you are only supposed to visit twice during the fortnight....we went 9 days out of 14 ! Don't do the turtle trip.....it's actually outside the hotel.
Only one issue was the sea......waves got to 20 foot high when we were there and we saw about 10 broken arms in two weeks with idiots knowing better than the beach staff.
I would definitely go back.

An excellent time had by all. Amazing weather. I went in the sea most days, despite red flag. Only slightly disappointing aspect was the complete lack of anything else to see or do on the island.
You were right about the snow btw

It's definitely a relax and do nowt else sort of place. Glad you enjoyed it.

I thought this was a joke thread, perhaps it is.
However me and the wife were going to go there in march (instead of skiing) the only thing that put me off was the featureless beaches
I like to swim in shelteres coves/beaches that you get in the canaries

kiteman69, Do not go to Cape Verde if you like 'to swim in sheltered coves'. All of the beaches that I saw had potentially dangerous shorebreaks.
