Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kitzbeuhel - lively or lager mob

Kitzbuehel is often described as a lively resort. Sometimes "lively" means a place has good buzz/good apres ski - sometimes means its mainly for the 18-30/lager mob. Havent tried Kitzbuehel yet - glad for views on what the description "lively" really indicates!

That is a bit of a hard question to answer without a lot of "what do you mean bys". The Londoner can be a bit crowded but most places are not over the top, Quite a select place really, but I dare say you will find whatever suits you.

Nice place.

My sister went there several times - had friends with a place there. She liked the town, but did say it was the only place she'd seen women in Chanel Moon Boots, complete with little gold chains. wink She also found it a bit of a hassle to be so far from the skiing, but that's the price you pay for having friends with an old family home in Kitzbuhel, I guess. wink She never mentioned any lager louts.

Not a lager lout place. Londoner was a bit like a uk pub on a Friday night but most other bars were pretty quiet and some were distinctly nobby. Generally though the apres ski was very disappointing compared to a lot of Austrian resorts

IMHO it has a bit of every thing. But it is very "glitzy" just look in the jewellery shop windows. Has a few lively bars and some quieter ones. Also has a Maccy D's.

I like Kitzbuhel but I tend ro socialise more in the hotels Im staying in.

The skiing is good

Didn't find it lager louty at all. It's just a nice town with nice bars. Also tends to get visitors who don't just go for skiing.

ah yes! i think this is a really important point. Same could be said of places like Megeve or Chamonix or Wengen (or Zermatt, I imagine, and lots of other places I've never been to) which are all round, year round, resorts. It's true of some smaller places too, including lots of small French resorts where there are people of all ages - lots of babies and toddlers, lots of older people, lots of people who don't look like they ever go skiing, or maybe go cross country skiing, snow-shoeing, etc. Makes them more interesting, varied, relaxed, sorts of places.
