Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski hire Morzine Les Gets - Intersport?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Looking to hire some piste skis over Christmas as mine are >100mm underfoot all mountain and doubt they're going to be necessary over the period!

Intersport seem to have some decent deals by booking online in advance but I never usually hire so what's their kit like? Looking for something piste focussed, shorter radius, advanced end of things if it helps. Not looking for soft, floppy, trashed punter skis wink

Any advice appreciated. Oh and have car, staying halfway between Les Gets and Morzine so can look at other options if anyone can recommend a better alternative.

If you're talking about Intersport les Gets, I hired from their Chavannes shop and got good kit, and from their Front de Neige shop and got some pretty flappy skis I had to change. Someone did tell me there was a difference between the kit at each shop, and it looked that way, but I'm not sure if it's true. I might have been unlucky. The worst that happens is you upgrade at the other shop.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We used the Intersport in Morzine a couple of year's ago, mainly because it was right next to the Avoriaz gondola (but I guess with your car this is less significant).
They were competitively priced and the advanced members of the group who like to go off piste and generally hoon it around a bit, were very impressed with their gold standard skis.
They do ski lockers there as well, but again I don't suppose that's such a big draw for you.

@Dashed, I will confess to being chums with the family but the gear in FB Freeride (just down from the Pleney bubble) is always good. http://www.fbfreeride.com
