Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Armada El Rey All Mountain Ski?
Looking at the Armada El Rey Skis 2013 + Bindings. I have a few questions.
1. Would this ski be suitable for mainly on piste use with occasional off piste and park?

2. Being 6'2 and 210 pounds, intermediate is the 178cm length long enough?

3. Is this a more forgiving ski? I am just getting comfortable with parallel turns, and learning fast. Will this ski help me progress or would I need a softer ski?

4. How do these compare with something like the Line Chronics, Atomic Panic/ Theory and Salomon Rocker 2 90?

I have just done a week in Italy on Armada TST skis. 183cm length, 102mm underfoot. Was MOSTLY on piste. Skis were excellent.

1. Yes - these are 87mm underfoot - will make a good piste ski unless you want to do GS style carving.

2. Probably - mine are 183cm but the front bit is a rocker - so mine ski shorter on piste. So the 178cm El Rey probably skis longer on piste than my TSTs.

3. Not sure.

4. Never skiied them.

I am biased towards twin tipped style skis.

Can't comment directly but a friend of mine has elreys with marker schizo bindings and loves them, he's a bit lighter than you but can't stop raving about them.

Hope that helps
Nick
