Am I right in thinking that you can only go to the ISPO trade show if you're working 'in' the industry? What sort of 'proof' would you need? Any SH's (business's) running stands who might be able to hook me up with a ticket (or invitation to buy a ticket, however it works...) in exchange for a hand setting up or whatever - or know someone in such a position?

clarky999, I've not been to that one, but usually if you apply on line (and maybe send money) you'll b fine.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

clarky999, you register on line, you need to have a registered business in the sports industry and it costs about €30ish for a pass
it is not really a wander round to take a look type show, it is generally where ranges are put together buying decisions are made, some stands you will not even be able to get onto without an appointment, mind you if you go to the made in china hall i am sure plenty of people will try to sell you all sorts of stuff

and it can't be done in a day. Think 16 halls, each hall the size of a football field.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Dot., it can if you know exactly what you want to see. Unless, of course, you hang around the Reef stand for too long. I'd also say avoid Sunday and Monday.

I used to turn up on the door with a business card, I doubt if anyone checks how relevant it is to the sports industry, since the show is so huge most people could make a good reason for being their. I was always amused by how Adidas and Puma tried to out do each other in neighboring halls. Also good reason to visit the Hofbrauhaus! Whether you have the creds to get on any of the big stands is another thing altogether.

Probably could blag my way in as a representative of my parents' company then, but given it's supposed (touchwood!) to DUMP next week, I think I'll give it a miss though!
Looking forward to hearing more about the carbon WD Ranger though!
