Poster: A snowHead

Sometimes over the next few months myself and the OH will be going out to buy boots and the ones that seem to fit our pockets are the Atomic LFs and Head Next Edges in various Flexes.
I'm pretty sure I'll end up in a 50 or 60 flex as us two will ski at most once a year, while as the kids get older they will have far more opportunity and will progress further than we could or indeed intend to.
Anybody using either of these boots, or suggest a parallel?
I'm looking for ultra comfort and something I can just cruise around in looking suitably casual and as usual not putting in much effort.
The Atomics sound very interesting with the "Live Fit" feature, but at the moment I'm basing my opinions on marketing blurb, and not sound advice and experience.
TIA

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Get boots that fit your feet not the boots that fit your pocket. Go to a REAL boot fitter.not to a kid in a high street store. You and your feet will thank you for it.

Go with an open mind, be honest regarding you ability, as for budget I always expect the worst and then I'm never surprised. Spend as much as you need to, deciding on cost grounds alone is a false economy, buy the one that fits best and suits you ability. If performance is a priority be prepared to sacrifice some comfort.

At my age performance is never a priority
We may just have to do one this year, and one the next
