Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

"The men’s race proved very exciting for the British team. The four British competitors, Alex Standen, Callum Smith, Andrew Young and Andrew Musgrave had start times spread through the field with Alex off 6th and Muzzy off 75th (out of 84). The 15km time trial took in four laps of the newly created 3.75km loop, which drops down behind the wax cabins in the opposite direction to the sprint loop. The boys all had fantastic races. Alex, Andrew Y and Muzzy seemed to tire a bit on their third laps, but picked up again for a final attack. Callum paced himself well and looked very strong on his third and fourth laps, finishing 59th, 15 places up on his ranking. Alex pulled out a smooth move on his third lap and managed to tuck in behind the current race leader for half of the lap and finished 69th, 9 places up on his seeding. Andrew Young, finishing 26th, commented on his result that he was 10 seconds off having an amazing day, but it had still been good. For the second half of his race Andrew Musgrave was engaged in a battle for third place between himself, Thomas Bing of Germany and Sindre Bjornstad Skar of Norway. In the end Bing took 3rd with a 14 second lead over Muzzy in 4th."

Impressive result.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

He'll be gutted as the 15km free was probably his best chance of a medal as he prefers skating over classic. Next race is the skiathlon tomorrow, and it will all depend on Muzzy's classic leg. If he can stay with the leaders in the classic he could do well with a strong skate to finish. There are relays on Sunday, but the FIS site suggests only for the juniors, though we have four men at the event so could enter a team if there is a U23 relay.

The final race for the GB team was the skiathlon with further good results - Fi finishing 36th in the ladies and two men in the top 30 with Muzzy 14th and Andrew Young 26th. Details here:
