Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone have any info on the 2004
volkl
v pro and the 2006
volkl
karma? They are both marketed as "all mountain" twin tips and I was wondering if anyone has any comparison of their all mountain abilities. Thanks a lot.

I've skied both. The Karma is a little stiffer and wider underfoot then the V-Pro. When
Volkl
introduced the V-Pro it was meant to be pretty much a park ski but the end result was much more versatile and slid into the All Mountain category. When they superseded the V-Pro with the Karma, they enhanced it's All Mountain performance, basically making it even more of a freeride ski than a freestyle ski.
I enjoyed the V-Pro, especially the graphics, but I loved the Karma. Mainly because I love the mountain a whole lot more than the park.
Anything more specific you want to know?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yeah thanks a lot for the response. I was also wondering how they perform in the bumps and if theyd function on hardpack or ice.

Better than the skier? No offence meant. In theory the V-Pro would handle the bumps a little better and around 50/50 over the hardstuff, but both skis handle both situations very well, in these terms I would describe them as good all mountain skis. Buy the Karmas, they're a dope ski... did I mention Gotamas?
