Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thursday 14 March transfer from Les Arc to GVA

I am about to book a trip to Les Arc 2000 for the 9-16 March with a TO but need to be back in the UK for Friday morning.

I know transport is pretty rigid, but does anyone have any better ideas of how to get back than a private transfer to GVA on Thursday night (for a c9pm flight)? This ends up quite pricey. It would appear the buses run Friday, Saturday and Sunday usefully...

Any help much appreciated!

If you haven't already you could try altibus.com, though as you say you'll probably find their midweek service is rather limited. Failing that, a train from Bourg St Maurice to GVA. You can get to BSM by getting the resort bus from Arc 2000 to Arc 1600, then the funicular into BSM (which is a 5 minute walk to the train/coach station).

Just checked altibus, they seem to have buses running from Les Arcs or BSM to Geneva. 0740, 1115 and 1435 from BSM, the times from Les Arcs aren't specified but bank on around 1 hour before those times from Arc 2000. 79 euros one way.

I'm aware I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but you do realise that's one of the worst weeks for crowds in French resorts - Paris holidays?

Thanks all - from the bus timetable it looks like the bus is only Fri/Sat/Sun but will do some more digging. And thanks for the heads up on the crowds - sadly work and family schedule restrict us to just this week!
