Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Out of hours car return at Alamo, GVA?

I have an early flight back home from Geneva airport in a couple of weeks, and will need to return my hire car to Alamo at GVA (Swiss side) before their office is due to open (apparently they open at 7.00am, but I will need to check in by about 6.30am so will need to return the car around 6.00am). Anyone done this before? Any issues about returning the car when the office isn't open?

I've returned to Alamo out of hours after a couple of Pyrenees trips. Each time there was a barrier controlled compound in which to drop the car and a portacabin/office thing with a letterbox for the keys. Just make sure you take DATE AND TIME STAMPED digi photos of the car from all angles as evidence of no new damage once you have parked the car.

Having said that we've not had any problems and Alamo did seem to be the best deal at the time.
