cbowls30, have been out during Spring Break - couple of times in Colorado and once at Killington. Mountain wasn't busy but the bars were. Killington was hilarious as there were a few thousand college boys and only a handful of girls (they head for the sun) so it was all a bit macho, a "sausage fest" as they call it.

well..... i guess there is little we can do about it now, flights are non-refundable and non-changeable....... checked out some vids on youtube at springbreak and the slopes looked desserted! i wouldn't dream of skiing during uk half term in europe! |
But I don't think "Spring Break" is really similar to the UK Half Term. I always understood that Spring Break was a College thing, not a school thing, so unlike here, it is not a time when families can ski without the kids missing school.

You know it makes sense.

When I've skied in Canada (Whistler and Panorama) it's always been during Spring Break, as one of my ski buddies is a university professor. It's been busy - particularly on one occasion in Whistler - but manageably so, nothing like half term in Europe.
