Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
Have booked our ski trip for next year and just need to sort out transfers.
Can anyone recomend a taxi / minibus operator/s for outward & return transfers from Chamberry - Chamonix - Chamberry. Or direct me to a web site?
Many thanks
Ant McClure

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ant McClure, welcome to Snowheads.
There's also a sticky on this at the top of the Travel section of this site (it should really be titled "one of the most common questions asked on this site").
and if that doesn't help, do a quick search on the user facilities dropdown.

Welcome to snowHeads, Ant
I asked a very similar question here, I found a list of operators on Natives. The general outcome of the thread was that Airport Transfer Service (ATS) were good (with the odd wobble) and that I should hire a car instead!
ATS are also relatively cheap, since they do shard transfers - we are travelling in a party of two which makes it a bit pricey - how big is your group?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hi all,
Thanks for the quick responses and suggestions. We are a party of 5, which makes it a little awkward with hiring cars although it's still an option. I'll look into the ATS option and let you know the results.
Cheers
Ant

hi ant
if you are flying in on a transfer day you can always go with the wander over to the coach line find coach you want going to your resort, give rep some beer money and you are sorted. may sound unreliable and can't comment from chamberry but never failed from geneva.
the other option if you want to play safe would be to call one of the big operators that is running a coach up there anyway and see if they would sell you seats in advance? they margings in the industry are so tight at the moment that i they may well.

I found it easier to get in touch with the tourist office at your resort, get some taxi numbers and give them a call. Got some good quotes for my tranfers to Ischgl next March this way.
Does anyone know of any decent ski hire places in Ischgl? Hit a dead end.
Cheers
Mike.

Ant McClure, not a problem, hire a Renault Scenic MPV. loads of room for 5 and space for their luggage, just make sure you specify a roof-rack.
