Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Plagne 1800 - Ski hire shops

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We're off to Plagne 1800 for New Year but we are at the opposite end of the resort to the pistes.

I was wondering if there are any Plagne 1800 regulars who can tell me the nearest ski hire shop to the pistes with ski lockers we could hire?

Sport 2000 is near the piste and will store your ski equip if you rent from there:

But, in Plagne 1800 none of the chalets are very far from either the piste or the bus stop which is easy and convenient to get round - where are you staying?

Happy planning!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

oooh - that's weird snowheads has linked my post to a discount code instead of the Plagne 1800 shop. Did I do that by accident or is it automatic???

Either way, there is only one sport 2000 in Plagne 1800 so shouldn't be that hard to find - and looks like you get an extra discount too!

There's also Intersport (SkiLove) and SkiSet (Boudou) - both slightly further from the pistes but both very good.

As above, very few places are from the pistes Smile

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Do you mean up on the 'top road' - e.g. chalet nichoir in this map

When skiing from there with a mate a couple of years back we would walk to the end of the road and take the bus upto plagnce centre, rather than try and get going out of 1800 as getting on/off the piste at the end of the road safely was very tricky. As the end of the day sundowners in the bar under arpette lift was the order of the day, view like this

then on 10 minutes notice ski down to bellecote, pickup the bus which stops right by the roundabout at the end of the road back to 1800

hopeless if you've left you're skis/boots somewhere near the lift station and then there's 100000 steps to climbup
