Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I don't know if this article has been posted already. It is the first time I have seen an article presented in this way, it is very impressive.

I think what struck me the most (other than the tragedy of it all) was that Elyse Saugstad was the only survivor in the debris field at the end, now I wonder how much of that was due to her airbag ? the others were I think all found face down quite deep beneath the surface but she was face up with her head at the surface and she was the only one with such a device.

I found it quite shocking how experienced, professional skiers all succumbed so badly to peer pressure, and not one of them thought to count how many they were

If the report was accurate (which I have my suspicions), Jim Jack was also found near the surface and face up. He, on the other hand, was carried the longest distance.

I'm pretty sure that generalising from this specific case is not going to be very useful.

Very well written and executed story with the videos and animations

Tragic story

Does it boil down to some very fundamental mistakes? Lack of preparation (several people didnt know what route they were supposed to take)
