Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I currently have Salomon Snowtrip skis.
http://www.levelninesports.com/Salomon-Snowtrip-Skis-With-Boots-And-Bindings
Can't find a lot of info about them as they're not sold anymore but I suspect they're a beginner level. Mine are ex hire skis.
I've skied now for 9 years, just one week a year. I'm not the most confident of skiers. I'm happy to ski most reds and have skied some blacks. I'm fairly slow and sometimes I think this is genuinely down to the skis. If I go hell for leather in a straight line from the same starting point as my daughter and husband they'll both easily beat me.
I'm looking for a piste ski which is easy to turn and also stable at speed.
I like the look of Salomon Lava skis and they seem to get good reviews. Also like the reviews for
K2
Superbirnin which have replaced the Burnin Loves. Any comments on which might be better.
Also I love my Salomon Snowtrip boots the info I've read states that the boots and skis were designed to go togther "The bindings are specific to the Snowtrip series and are designed around the unique boot sole". I certainly wouldn't be able to clip these boots into normal bindings. Would I be able to take the bindings off my old skis and put them on new skis OK? I really don't want to get rid of the boots as they're so comfy.
Current skis are 146cm. I'm short at 157 cm. Current skis come up to my mouth. Would I be betetr off going for 153cm skis?
Thanks

I'm fairly sure the boots will work with other binding systems to be honest, they look like the old verse boots from years ago just rebadged. Got any photos of the boot sole to verify?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
