Very interesting. Will be even more interesting if it turns out to be accurate, although 1-2 day forecasting is not at the far range of feasibility!
Two niggles:
1. How many average holiday skiers are hunting powder?
2. Where is the North Central up a little, to the right a bit east middle alps? I don't get the regional classifications at all!!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

[Scottish powder, as in "Wee powder on the hill this morning. Not a lot, but enough for a wee chappie to put in a few turns]

I've been using it for the last couple of seasons, and it's been very good so far!
Don't think it's aimed at 'average holiday skiers,' it's mostly for suggesting where to head for the weekend/during the week to score freshies, for those within driving distance of skiing. Not much in the way of general forecasting, they concentrate on where's going to get the most snow, when.

under a new name, that's one of the good things about the new website, it used to be a standalone program (apparently it was expensive to support) and although there were some features that were better the new site works really well. Click on an area and it will tell you the resorts they cover in the area, western alps etc. then click on a resort and it has a little bio and links.
They do a coffee table book but unfortunately, for me anyway, its in dutch only. Otherwise in looks like a nice book to add drool over in those long summer months.
By the way I emailed Morris the other day and apparently the new app should be out tomorrow or very soon.
