Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can anyone tell me if ski bindings use a standardised hole pattern?
I'm off to SuperDevoluy in Feb so i pulled my skis out of the attic and discovered that one of the brakes was quite severly bent, i have managed to get it close to the original shape but its movement isn't as smooth as it should be.

Deejayry, in a word NO, each brand is different and often there are 2 or three (or even more) configurations within the brand for different models

Sometimes you can swap bindings for another model by the same manufacturer, but it isn't guaranteed.

Brakes are often replaceable without having to dismount/replace the whole binding. Hard to tell without seeing em though. Might be easiest to point them at your nearest convenient ski tech.
