Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone got any recommendations for accommodation for short stay midweek close to geneva? Have had a quick look and some places seem quite expensive. Seen a few nice places in chamonix but was was there last season and maybe fancy somewhere different. Prepared to head down as far as bourg at Maurice. Ideally close to slopes as want to maximise my time skiing . Will have a car so will be flexible if I find a good option which means I need to travel.

Hotel L'Alpage Le Grand Bornand, Chinaillon.

1 hour from Geneva. Chantal Masson who owns and runs the hotel is a charming and welcoming hostess and her prices are very competitive. Right opposite slopes at Chinaillon.

Got cheap breaks Sun 6th Jan to Sat 12th
Sun 13th Jan to Fri 18th.
Sun 20th Jan to Thurs 24th.
Very short break Mon 21st Jan to Thurs 24th

The 07.15 out of Belfast on Sundays should have you on the snow around 13.00.
The departs to Belfast are not so user friendly on weekdays, although Sat 12th has a 20.25 depart, so ski all day. Not cheap though at £52 and £93.

Worth contacting Nina to see what other dates may be possible outside of January.
