Incredible. The cost of maintaining that must be astronomical.

LOL, what a crock. This was my local hill for 2 years - it might be the best snowdome in the world but it's still extremely limited for development and the locals are not interested in technique anyway. As the guy on the vid said, "I love going fast" and that is all they are interested in. All they do is race their mates in a straight line from the top to the bottom in a quasi tuck; no control, no chance of stopping or avoiding someone making an unexpected maneuver. Rather similar to their driving habits, actually Still, Allah will protect them...
Best thing about Ski Dubai is everytime you get on the chairlift with an Arab he says, "You're a really good skier!"
"Yes, well, I've probably had a bit more practice than you" is the correct, dignified, British response, I find.

I learnt a hell of a lot at Chill Factore, so much in fact that I was moved up from my supposedly intermediate ski school group on last year's holiday. I took lessons and used the ski school apps and was very dilligent about practicing technique and doing specific drills.
I know what you mean about some people hurtling to the bottom over and over again with little or no technique, not that there's anthing wrong with that of course (providing they aren't endagering other people).
I'm going to the fridge tonight as it happens. If anyone else is there I'll be the guy practicing jump turns!

Not a promo, it's a web series - and a bloody good one that. Watch the La Grave one... Bordering on art as well as good ski porn.

Acquired taste - the skiing is usually nice, the poncing around being soulful in slo-mo isn't really my bag. I get it that they're core ski bums but they also seem to suck the joy out of it IMV.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Absolutely.
The best bit was the guys in the chair lift wearing the - what - "dish dashes"? Why was there no video of them hooning down there? Or someone crashing and burning. I think the snowboarders probably carted all the joy away with them.

Kandoras (Dishdashes) are banned on the hill. If you look again you'll see that none of the people in Kandoras or Abayas have got skis on - they're just there to experience snow.

Get a look at all their other films, some really good stuff.

I know what you mean, I quite like the more 'arty' approach though, bit different to all the other ski porn out there.
