Poster: A snowHead

I am seeking help the combined knowledge and wisdom (and any weird websites you may know).
I have done skyscanner, edreams, etc. No luck.
I NEED a direct flight for 30 people (adult ski club) 17th to 24th Feb 2013
from Vilnius in Lithuania to and from Venice.
I can get indirect flights from Skyscanner but really need direct ones.
I know how much every single SH absolutely loves UK ski TO's ( ) so come on and lend a hand.
Thanks
PS had groups from most countries on our trips but this will be (with your help) the first from Lithuania

Spend a bit extra and sort a private charter out

Just had a look at OAG and have to confirm there are no scheduled direct flights from Vilnius to Venice. In fact there are no direct flights to Venice from any of the Baltic capitals, including Helsinki. If it really, really has to be direct then I think that a private charter is the only possibility.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Wayne, perhaps they would be better DIYing to a resort where they can get a direct flight?

You'll need to Register first of course.

I've got Lithuanian ties. I reckon you don't stand a chance of direct from anywhere in LT to Venice. The best bet for getting in and out of LT used to be their national carrier, but they went bust. BA and Baltic scrapped a few routes, so did Easyjet. It's a real pain for us.
A good indirect option is possibly to use Brussels Airlines to get them to Brussels to start with. That's a cheap carrier that serves VNO and Brussels is a good Euro 'hub' for connecting flights.

Wayne, do what some other operators might do - tell 'em it's direct and then announce the change of plan after it's too late for them to rebook. Hey, they can "suck it up and jog on" to quote one of your own phrases

Also make sure you check out any options from Kaunas airport as well. It's only a couple of hours bus ride from Vilnius - it's a smaller airport but might have a helpful route to somewhere or other. Again, it's doubtful if you'll get anything direct. You could e.g. do (whisper it) Ryanair via Frankfurt (or even London) I think..
Air Baltic via Riga might be an option. In fact if any of your party live in the North of LT it's a shorter drive to Riga than to Vilnius!
Edit: Bzzzt, scratch the Riga idea. It incurs another change at Rome!

erk at the thought of connecting flights on a no frills number 9 bus with wings. connections may work, but somewhere like Hahn possibly only has 1 flight per day (cba to check). While not the end of the world, going via London adds in immigration nonsense. At least pretty much any other hub in EU is within Schengen zone.
Would have thought there'd be quite a few possibilities similar to going via Brussels. TUIfly? Air Berlin? Eurowings? Germanwings? Half of which possibly don't feature on flight checker websites.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Sorted. I booked a coach and they seem quite happy with that.

Go on, you know where it is. It's onto the naughty step for you.

And as for you Bode Swiller you know the drill. Into the corner you go. And we don't want to see their face, do we class ? Face the wall if you please.
