Flaine is in France. There's plenty of info on Flaine on snowheads (use the search function, being sure to click the option for finding it anywhere, not just in the topic heading.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

lisabeee, If the deal is that good I would go for it, have been to Flaine 6 years running, at easter the Flaine Bowl should still have good snow cover, and if its been a good season the links to the other GM resorts should be OK. Skiing is good for blue and reds, few blacks, resort is quiet at night with a few decent bars, but its not a major party town.
Havent stayed in the Apts but they will be usual 70,s French style and size, check the apt pics if you can

lisabeee, a glance at a few reviews suggests that apartments are actually rather better than a lot of the older apartments in France, but the location isn't great. The Erna Low website has an honest description of the location.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I stayed there last year. Generally good, there were 3 of us in a 6 person appartment 4 or 5 wouldn't have been a problem. Everything was clean and worked, nothing luxury but was nice. Views across the valley were pretty good.
Location wise, it was a bit of a trek to the grand vans chair but there were ways of minimising this. There was a bus that ran but we never figured out the timetable! We normally walked to grand van in the morning and in the evening came down the blue linking flaine to the rest of the area and swung right down the new piste that means you arrive about 100m away but its an interesting walk! You cna get out this way in the morning but given it's quite steep and uphill we went for the longer downhill walk.
For bars and shops it wasn't really a problem.
Only real negative about the apartments is the ski locker is pretty small to try and avoid about 20 min before ski school when it is full of families. Any other questions just ask, there is a trip report that I did on here somewhere.
