Apart from me, is anyone about in the Les Arc area during this next week?
I'm over there with a fairly big group at 1950, but the kids are in ski school most days so I could meet up to say hello and even grab a few runs with any snowHeads knocking about.

Sorry marc, we are same as rob@rar.org.uk, PS Rob when are you back out in March- we're in 1950 again 4th - 18th. The Squirrel is looking good for another visit or two...

I arrive on the 1st and fly home on the 6th - it's the AGM for our owners committee, so just a quick trip to attend the meeting and squeeze in a few days skiing.

I'll be in Vallandry from the 11th - 18th February. If the weather is nice I'll probably be in a yellow and black down jacket and black salopettes. I'll be skiing either Atomic TC9s with Frischiti bindings or I'll be telemarking (badly) in Crispi CXT touring boots on Fischer Boundless nordic touring skis with Voile release bindings. If I'm using the latter I'll probably stand out a mile as I very rarely see any telemarkers in resort in France.

I've seen quite a few more in Les Arcs this season than I've seen before, including a few telemark classes. Sadly none of them had the elegance of a really good telemarker, but hopefully that will come

2 of my fellow owners in 1950 telemark all the time, - and are doing their level best to get me to join them. Experts? - as far as I am concerned, they are bl**dy brilliant ( and yes, elegant) - you don't go off the back of Aguille Rouge and down couloir Lanchettes in telemarks unless you know what you're doing methinks (or unless you don't know what you are letting yourself in for...).
And happy to keep up with us boring old fixed plankers all day everyday, both pistes and in-and-out of the trees in Plan Pesiey. Of course they are far more knackered at the end of the day...

Damn site better than me. Can usually manage to tele down pisted reds as long as its not too bumpy. If it gets steep or moguly or the quality of the snow is not the best I tend to stick to paralel turns (on the telegear). Off piste, steep moguls etc I'd probably prefer my AT kit. I blame it on the low ankles soft flexing touring boots and nothing at all to do with my technique
