Anyone out there got any advice on where to buy a baselayer top thats extra long in the body? I have tried many branded and non branded tops only to find that by the time I get off the first chair it has woked its way up under my bust like some sort of wrinkled scaffolding! I'm a tall girl, buying mens clothing results in a really poor fit that rides up anyway because I have to buy larger to accommodate my boobs.
A few years ago I was lucky with a patagonia extra long compression top, I bought it in Canada and it lasted a couple of seasons until my mother (bless her) kindly washed it, now it might fit a 4 year old! I've checked out Patagonia and can find no longer length base layers now. Surely there is a company out there that still makes them?

lily - I was going to suggest patagonia slim fit stuff as its an athletic fit, but if you need additional length on their normal length then maybe not - have your tried the scandanavian manufacturers? they tend to be for taller swedes, norse, etc. so maybe bettter for a longer length - but not sure about the boobs situation - some of the swedes are quite chesty though - how tall / busty are you? my missus is 5' 9" but only a 34b so easy to fit.

I don't know about base layers, but I recently bought some gloriously long length T-shirts from O'Neil - if they do a base layer range it might be worth looking at.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

lilywhite, Falke tops are quite long in the body. Might be worth a look in TK Maxx for them at the start of the season, often quite a range. I am 5'8" and find Smartwool long enough.

lilywhite, at 6'0" and slightly more top heavy I have had no issues with the icebreaker kit (but then I do tend to tuck it into the base layer leggings - never come untucked though!)

Agree with adamantis, icebreakers are great...especially for my monkey arms not too mention that they keep you insanely warm when compared to the other baselayers i've tried.

Hi, this may help somepeople when making a decision regarding thermal base layers. Last year I went skiing for the first time to Lillehammer in Norway with my in-laws. We bought some Xcelcius Ultratherm base layers from www.xcelcius.co.uk.
Had never heard of this brand before but took a bit of a gamble and was really impressed. They are suitable for temps down to -15. I haven't found base layers as warm as these before. Hope this helps.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

You could also try Heinnie Haines. They specialise in a military style clothing and equipment and just recently were selling some baselayers by Usser I think. They were very long cut and may do.

I bought a motorcycling base layer in Lidl recently. Don't scoff - it's long, warm, and one of the best base layers I've owned
