Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Rossignol Bandit B 3's

 Poster: A snowHead

Can anyone offer me a quick piece of knowledgeable advice????

I have a pair of Rossignol Bandit b3's which I absolutely love but they have seen better days now and need replacing - the simple question is this - have Rossignol made a more improved version( can't find them if they have) or have they been superseded by another name?

Quite simply which current Rossignol ski's are the most similar to the Bandits?

Advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Many thanks

Foreverblue.

Not sure but the Experience range might be the successor. I have a pair of 88's and when searching through the blurb when looking thought I saw references to the Bandits.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Basil,

I'll take a look at them - just don't want to go not a supplier and be led down the garden path - would rather hear from someone who has actual knowledge of them.

Cheers

from experience a manufacturer of anything will not have anything that is "just like" an old version for marketing and sales reasons.

This can be a good thing, like when I didnt upgrade to the latest for a while the new thing I bought was so much better.

I have tried with ski's in the past to do this and its just better to get out on a couple pairs of recommended latest models and pick the best

Saw this re the 2011 Rossignol range

"Taking the Bandit’s place is an extended S line of freeride skis. Now anything that floats in powder or jibs is now part of the “S” line, from freeride “Bandit” style skis, through park and everything in-between. Rocker (Amptek..) and reverse sidecut all live here."

S80, S86 and S97.

Limited sizes here of the narrowest one, bought from them before.

S80 has practically the same profile as the green Bandit B3.

Biggest difference is S80 has tip & tail rocker.
