Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute St Anton accommodation

Hi fellow snowheads

I know there are a few other posts in this vein but just thought i'd try my luck - anyone have any ideas for accommodation in or near st anton for 3 people from 29 december - 5 january that's not too pricey ??

randomhals, It's hardly last minute - for such a very, very, busy time you're not likely to get any prices much reduced until a day or so before. If then - most places will be booked, especially now the snow has started to fall. More likely for January 5 - 12 but that's a month away!

Check out ski world last minute pages. Also, plenty of B&B's in the nasserein area of town which is v close to the action.

randomhals, you may end up in Pettneu, or even further out in Flirsch. This is probably the busiest period in the whole season. Try www.bergfex.com, they are still showing a few hotels with rooms over that period.

randomhals, Reckon you'll struggle, there'll be no bargains in town that time of year. I'm there at that time and booked my accom in May.

randomhals, Try http://www.landhaus-wolf.at/ Its in Schnann (St Anton is 15 mins on the bus) but cheap, clean and well equipped the bus stop is 2mins away.

randomhals, Also suggest you try Haus Allgau in St Jakob, 2 mins on free ski bus. Basic b&b but clean and good location. Think they also do triple rooms. Good luck with it.
