1. I was good enough.
2. I wasn't scared of heights.
3. I had that much confidence in my first turns in fresh snow with that exposure.
4. I was 25 years younger.
5. etc. etc.

Idris, great pics. Also, you guys must be some kind of 'special nutters' because I was up there today (just as a *spit* sightseer), conditions looked pretty much identical, and didn't see anyone attempting to ski anything. Wisely.

I meant Mallory / eugster, but as a joke, I'm glad to think the conditions were the only thing holding you back!
I once walked that arete roped up to a guide, with a handrail fixed and still thought I should have brought a nappy. I remember looking down the slope to my left and just thinking how insane it was that people skied it. Skiing the arete itself is a milder form of madness, but madness nonetheless, kudos.
