Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiing Salt Lake City

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm a 21 male from New Zealand traveling to Salt Lake City in February next year and looking for backpacker style accommodation. Can anyone recommend somewhere that they have been? I'm looking for a place that is low cost and close enough to the bus that goes up LCC. Also, if anyone else has similar intentions it would be fun to meet up!

Thanks,
Nic

Motels are so cheap it barely makes the economics of hostels make sense unless you want to meet people. Plenty in Sandy near the tramline and bus routes up to BCC & LCC.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I agree with Bob, try the Super8 in Sandy, when I stayed downtown a couple of years ago I met a group that were staying there and they enjoyed it, was near to the ski buses for Alta/Snowbird or Solitude/Brighton and also simple to get downtown for food etc. If you buy a multi day superpass for the resorts you get all the public transport for free as well.

NicMW,

I've stayed at the "Chateau Apres" in Park City (http://www.chateauapres.com/). This has low budget single rooms and an even lower-budget bunkhouse (see under "Dorms" on the website..) It's clean, functional and only a short walk to the Park City base area.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
