Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

My technique has been getting even worse over the last couple of seasons so I have taken the radical approach of signing up for a summer glacier ski camp in Tignes which will concentrate on carving and gates
I am looking to hire skis. I haven’t skied on anything narrower than 105mm underfoot or with turn radius less than 20m in years. Any recommendations? I’m thinking some sort of cheater race ski in 175-180 length? No idea what’s good within that category or what is likely to be available to hire.
Me: 187cm tall, 90kg ish. Probably 10/11 on the inside out scale but very much biased towards off piste skiing. Got half way through BASI L2 a few years ago but blew my knee out so couldn’t complete the course

Don't go for too long a turn radius (I'd say 14-17m is the sweet spot) otherwise you'll be tempted to pivot the turn entry too often, especially if your lane is up on the 3500 piste which is a bit steep than Champery or Rosolin, the other two pistes that lanes are allocated on. Head iSpeed or something similar would be good. Email the guys running your course (Snoworks?) and ask want rental shops will be open in Tignes and whether they will have suitable skis.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers - will look out for them
They have recommended Guy Clary Sport so will see what they have
