Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
I am off to Tignes in January, staying in Le Lac. This will be my first year in ages when I will be renting skis - I had decided to leave mine at home to try out some more modern equipment. I would appreciate suggestions on good rental shops.
I have had an eye on the
Volkl
Kendos and tested the
Blizzard
Bushwackers recently which are quite similar and loved them. I hope to rent a similar ski when in Tignes. Could anyone recommend any good rental shops in Tignes whos range may extend to brands like
Volkl
. Alternatively, could someone recommend a ski in one of the more prevalent brands (
Dynastar
, Rossignol etc) that are similar in performance to the
Volkl
Kendo /
Blizzard
Bushwacker.
Much appreciated
Nick

Nick if you PM me in early December (to remind me!!) I'll have a look round the various shops in Le Lac and let you know.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi Nick
I hired from Le Vallon Blanc this March - just across the road from Maison du Tignes in Tignes le Lac. I was impressed with their service and they did me a good deal on some skis I wanted to try for 3-4 days. It was all very flexible so I could bring them back and swap them any time I wanted. They've got a very good range of current models in stock, including the brands you're interested in.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
