When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hotels, restaurants and bars are currently allowed to have rooms for smokers but critics say this harms the health of those who work in them.
Restrictions introduced two years ago were watered down after lobbying from the catering trade and tobacco firms.
Opinion polls show the Swiss - who smoke more than their neighbours - are likely to reject the proposal. See BBC News.

I thought the Austrians had taken some steps in the right direction (well, right if you're a non-smoker) but it does say the Swiss are expected to vote "no" to further measures.

Sorry, ive misread it. I thought there was a total indoor smoking ban coming in, which wuld have been great news!

I'll clarify.
Having smoking rooms as a joke! Almost a stupid as smoking sections or allowing smoking in smaller establishments.
Pity the Austrians approached the issues in such a half hearted manner. Or has it changed since Feb this year?
Wont stop me going to Austria but it's a real shame that it's allowed.
I'd forgotten how much fun it is coming out of a bar stinking of cigarette smoke!
