I just can't believe my eyes when I see pictures of the Laguna Del Inca! It is just stunningly beautiful. Really looking forward to seeing it in person in August. Plus, WINE WEEK!

Hey, yes lake run is open, but we've not had any new snow, so it's a bit rocky. Been busy teaching since the last update so haven't had a chance to get any photos. The snow is holding up ok, but we could definitely do with more.

Starting to worry a bit about snow conditions. Do you teach group lessons or just private? I usually take at least one lesson when I go to a new resort.

We are scheduled for WINE WEEK, August 25 is start date. I usually take a group lesson for blue to black skiers. I find it builds my confidence for the week and I always learn something new. Plus, I find trails that are fun that I might have missed without the lesson. Although the lesson I took at Big Sky almost gave me a heart attack. They have one trail that gives you the optical illusion that you are about to fly off the mountain and land on the roof of nearby condos. At least the instructor told me it was an optical illusion.....

Please tell me that there has been some snow, or that snow is forecasted, or that someone is dedicating his/her day to dancing for snow..... Our week is coming up fast and I see too many rocks.

Swell. It is so disheartening to be in the position that you have to plan so far ahead to travel. You schedule before the season and if you guess wrong, you are stuck.

It did snow, but only a dusting, the pistes are holding up well though. Sorry for lack of shots, I've been working pretty much constantly for the last month, getting some time off this week, but we're only really skiing on piste, so not taking photos.

Thank you for the links to the videos. They look like they are having fun. I FINALLY received a "snowmail alert" for 5 days from now, so here is hoping that prayers, dances and sacrifices are encouraging the snow to fly at last.

Still snowing, still mostly shut down. Did ski Plateau/Condor side yesterday, and it was really good. When this storm breaks (Saturday) it's going to be epic.

Excellent! I will keep my snow dancers going until Thursday night. We will let the roads clear so we can get up there and start the dancers up again on Saturday through the rest of the week. Skis already packed.
