I don't have any 'foot problems' that I'm aware of. But my Technica linners are I think a little past their prime, I kinda love my Diablos, do new Zip fit liners make sense, rather than new boots?

if the shell size is good and the boot shell is not trashed then Zipfit is a great option to get a bit more life from them, the advantage of this over other liners is that if you change boot a 2 seasons to another brand the liner can be moulded to fit that too. what Zipfit will not do is make a boot which is too big fit your foot

just asked our Zipfit rep, Glide n Slide in Otley ordered the Gara this season, but that is the thinnest model really designed for race type boots, great if that is the type of boot you have,not so good if you have a higher volume boot, they may have some older models in stock but it will depend on sizes and if they have any stock left

A friend got Zipfit liners from Ventura, I don't know whether this was a special order.

Acacia, if you can't get sorted with a local boot fitter and you feel confident enough to do it, it is possible to DIY fit zipfit liners. You just need to be careful to choose the correct model of liner for your boot. The method is detailed on the zipfit website and involves using a pan of water to heat the boot shells rather than the liner. I fitted some zipfit tour liners to my BD Factors using this method and they work very well. Previously, CEM fitted some Gara liners to my alpine boots and they're great too.
Apart from the excellent fit they provide, zipfits don't seem to pong anywhere near as much as the liners supplied with most boots!

that will be because the foam they use doesn't absorb nearly as much moisture as it it denser, better quality than most of the foams used in stock liners

Thanks, but I don't wear race boots (  )! Maybe it'll have to wait until my next trip to Oxford.

- I know this, and have seen a couple of videos, but I still prefer to have someone else to blame when it all goes wrong! (Also I don't think I could face Mrs A if she catches me boiling up my boots in the pasta pan).
