Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

As an aside I skied with Accola pere in Davos in 1999 where he was still teaching. He must have been as old as his favourite Jakobshorn mountain. Nice easy style and still teaching at a high level. Who else has skied with elderly ski instructors?

Seems like a super guy - my sort of ski teacher.
Never had an old ski teacher. It's bad enough being shown up by someone younger or the same age. But to be skied off the mountain by someone a lot older would just be too depressing.... Skullie

The kids had a ski teacher in La PLagne that they called 'Old Ginola', footballer David Ginola was playing for Newcastle at the time. Couldn't see the resemblance myself.
