Does anyone know when is best to book with jet2? Just looking at a break to mallorca in october and flights for october more expensive than in august!!
is there a good time to book ie 6weeks from flights? cheers

mattiwilkin, Don't know if this would affect where you fly from but the Scottish schools have two weeks holiday in October.

mattiwilkin, October is dear this year for some reason. Normally by now my missus would have a week in Spain booked but at the moment she's shelved it.
As regards to when you should book i think it's a lottery dependant on take up. If a flight is getting full as departure approaches then prices just go up, otherwise if a flight has low take up then the price will fall as it approaches the date.
I generally book my Jan and March flights in October and they have often come down a little since release. On occasion I have gone back in to the booking to change a return date and seen that the flight has become even cheaper in the last couple of weeks. My OH geneally books her June/July and October flights really early but that is just down to her lack of flexibility due to school hols.

Yes, for some reason October IS expensive this year and like midgetbiker,'s wife, I've shelved my usual visit to a friend in Spain. We started looking in early May too

Flights - book the earlier the better, they only get more expensive. When it comes to package hols and getting bums on seats, they can, although not always, go chaper the nearer you get to departure.
