Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Racking my brain for birthday pressie ideas for my keen telemark skiing brother. I'm looking for a classy magazine subscription, something along the lines of Le Rouleur ( he is also a v keen cyclist) Any recommendations of telemark specific magazines or general ski magazines appreciated.

AFAIK this is about the only specialist english language mag

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

freeheeler.eu also has an English version

telemarkskier has recently changed to going exclusively e-mag (freeheeler always has been AFAIK). I don't have a problem with e-mags as such although it aint the same as a nice mag dropping on your doormat and residing in the library (bog) for evermore to browse and look back on. In that respect, maybe not great for a gift subscription (on the other hand some folk will love the e-mag only format i'm sure). both orgs have pretty good social media feeds - Facebook in particular where they post a fair bit of content/articles/movie clips etc
both above are good mags, i have a sub for telemarkskier and freeheeler is free. There are a few decent US based mags that can do international subscriptions - Backcountry, Powder, and a few others (I used to sub to Backcountry, pretty good although quite America-centric as you might expect)
