Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

After mulling over whether we could get away or not this season, finally cracked at 11am Saturday and booked something extremely last minute for this week....and were packed and on the road in 3hrs with family of four.
Apart from a turn back 1/2 a mile from home for driving licences we've not forgotten anything ...yet!
Great weather and snow forecast this evening, 4 year old taking first tentative steps on her skis and 7yr old gaining confidence all the time - shame we didnt get our act together months ealier.
BIG thumbs up for Peak Retreats - 1) for having a good price on accommodation and flexi eurotunnel and 2) for Lyndsey running about trying to track down the residence to enable us to check in a day late.
Saisies snow holdu=ing up very well in the sun...

Wow, I can't say I've ever left it that late
But then my wife needs a minimum of 3 days to pack, not 3 hours!!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

For driving trips, packing is considerably easier because you can simply take everything instead of worrying about what fits in the luggage or not.
- skis in the car,
- ski bag that has boots and gloves and all other ski related gear in the car
- travel bag which has needed medication (if exist) and personal items
- passport and credit card (a bit of cash if need be).
The rest, if forget any, can be bought
Also, not needing a flight significantly reduce the planning hassle too. Lodging and lift pass was all it needs.
Family of 4, THAT, is the hard part. Just having all to agree to going could take 3 days!
Well done!
