The Mrs. nearly bought a cabin there a couple of years ago! But alas the figures did not stack up! That said it is not a bad area!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We've heading there in March. Have you had any experience with the ski school there? I'm thinking of getting lessons - would like to improve but have had some bad experiences with lessons in the past, so I'm a little hesitant.

Hi, been twice to the resort. Not huge but plenty to go at, and snow is usually good. But it can be very cold at times.
We booked independently using skistar for accommodation. The lodges are great, we had three families in them and it's almost ski in ski out. Cheapish flights to Oslo, then get the trysilexpressen bus from right outside the airport.
Eating and drinking is expensive. But that's Norway.
Majority of the instructors are Swedish, so speak good English. Not many Brits to be seen, mainly locals, Danes, or Russians. Kids lessons were great, adult one on one's recommended, they taught me to ski after all!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Peter, thanks for your reply. We've booked a lodge and the flight already. Can you remember if you booked the bus, or just turned up?
Is there a particular instructor you'd recommend for a nervous intermediate adult?
thanks

www.trysil.no, takk for informasjonen!
I read that page with my kind-of-OK knowledge of Swedish and I wasn't sure if you *needed* to book or not.
I guess it's safer to reserve a place anyway.
www.trysil.no, janeed and I are going to arrive at 13:15 on a Friday. I wonder whether we should trust SAS airline to get us there on time and reserve seats on the 14:50 trysilexpress...
