Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

RC4, Not surprised, that's cos it probably doesn't stand for anything, just has a better ring to it than "Rossignol Poo"

Only thing that matters is what they feel like to your friend when skiing them, oh! And if they like the colour!

It's like asking what does Sir Francis Bacon mean on Line Sir Francis Bacon skis, or what does Mutix mean on Rossignol Mutix skis. It doesn't mean anything. Just someone's idea of marketing. What does GTi mean on a hatchback car? What does the model number of my washing machine actually mean? Answer: Nothing of any significant meaning.

 You know it makes sense.
You know it makes sense.
It's a linguistic advertising trick. X is normally used as it sounds a bit exciting and sexy, Z works too. Adding numbers make things sound sciency, S's, T's and R's make things sound racy and fast.

Car industary uses all the time. Case in point take the Daihatsu Avanzato Curore TR-XX-R4, a small-engined Japanese 4-door hatchback.

You can do it with most things, Snowheads example. fatbob-XSR sounds a bit sexier and racier than fatbob.
(apologies to Fatbob.)

Pity about the Curore, though. Sounds like an unfortunate cross between curara and horror.

Richard_Sideways, if we're going to use that analogy I think I should be compared to a large underpowered eastern european estate which can't turn in less than nautical distances and stalls at any slight incline.

fatbob, sounds like you are in urgent need of rebranding then. A team of ad-men on danger money has been dispatched to your location.
