When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Coe Cup Freeride: The heat is on

The weekend just gone saw Glencoe hold the inaugural Coe Cup, the UK's first Freeride competition, on what will go down as the hottest March day on record in Scotland with a temperature of 22.8c recorded in Aberdeenshire at Fyvie Castle and 21c/70f breached quite widely. That record may not last very long, a few places are very close this afternoon and might just break through the 23c mark in parts of Highland Scotland or Aberdeenshire.

^Overall Coe Cup winner Peter MacKenzie launches of the Flypaper Buttress on Sunday.

GoPro footage from various riders and some non POV footage was gathered together and edited by Peter MacKenzie. A fantastic weekend was had by all competing, spectating, organizing and a few who simply came up to take advantage of the Cliffy spinning, those who bailed on the Comp are definitely the ones who missed out.

Next years Coe Cup is scheduled for 16/17th March.

bobmcstuff, I'm guessing the song had that blank bit in it at the end and the author didn't clip the end of it to the end of the video. Most editing packages render out to the end of the timeline regardless of the content on it.
