Possibly an error. Search for "snow chains" and see the price of other sizes.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Price is now £79.92 but still out of stock.
I hope they delivered at the old price. If they did then it's no wonder that Richard Brasher has resigned!

altis, Magic, thanks very much for that, ordered. I doubt I'll need them next week (I was going to keep an eye on the forecast) but better safe than sorry.

Me too - can even collect from half a mile away and saved £4.50 by using a Clubcard voucher due to expire 31.3 which I'd have otherwise used for some cr@p I don't need!
Top deal!

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Just been and picked mine up from my local store. They look alright, they only weigh about 25% of metal chains.

Collected mine. Very efficient system and delivered to a store a mile from home. As Colin B remarks they are very light and Seem well made? Max speed 40kph. Max distance on tarmac 40km. That's OK with me they are really just for get out of trouble as the winter tyres will cope with the rest. Pity I won't get to use them this season.

You know it makes sense.

Just found this comparison from the ANWB (Dutch equivalent of the RAC). The columns from L-R are Use 40% (Fitting (fitting / removal), Packing , Handling) Snow 35% (Subjective (FWD / RWD), Measured (ABS braking, traction without traction control, traction with traction control) Ice 10% (ABS braking, traction on ice) Wear 15%.
http://www.anwb.nl/binaries/pdf/auto/tests/sneeuwkettingentest/2011/anwb-sneeuwkettingentest-tabel_2011-2012.pdf
Looks like they get good marks for fitting and snow performance but poor on ice and wear. I can probably live with that as I have winter tyres and unless there was significant snow I wouldn't fit them at all and the only thing that really works on ice is great caution (or studded tyres which aren't really used outside Scandinavia).
