Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,
My family and I (2 grown ups and 2 kids 8 & 5) have decided that after enjoying the alps so much for our recent ski trip we really want to see the mountains in the summer, as such we have decided to go to belle plagne with esprit for our summer vacation and are looking to tag on a few days either side of the main week to extend the holiday. We have decided to fly with easyjet rather than drive and pick p a hire car over there, so have some flexibility in airports - was thinking of flying to genera and then back from nice or something similar.
So basically looking for any other suggestions or recommendations from fellow snowheaders with experience of French / France family holidays within a few hours drive of la plagne or either of the airports above.
Hope some of you can help.

Places to visit:
Annecy: the old town and the lake. There's a great cycle path and bikes can be hire or hire canoe / kayak
Near Aime: white water rafting on the Isere - try H20 Rafting who are based there.
Chamonix: go up to the Mer de Glace on the railway or the Aiguille de Midi on the cable car.
Vineyards / Wine tasting / buying: between Freterive, Cruet, on the route des vins between Albertville and Chambery.
Drive over into Italy via the col de Petit St Bernard pass to visit Courmayeur or Aoste.
Chambery: great market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
Albertville: Conflans - the old medieval site above the town; the museum of the 1992 Olympic games.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
