I'm 5'11" and demoed the 173cm, I loved these skis, deffo on my to buy list when I can find the cash or a good deal! They did not feel short to me nor were they noodly, is there any reason you want skis taller than you are? 83kg is not that heavy.

Hi Huckacliff duckabranch ... When you are in a packed gondola, rest the tail of your skis on top of your boot.
That will give the impression on another couple of inches, and of course size does matter!

The reason being, I ski on a 175 now with no rocker, I was thinking maybe the rocker would make them ski shorter, the 173 would have about the same edge contact as my slalom skis,
As for the lift line/packed gondola, I really don't give a rats ass about the gapers in there, I just want float with a bit of nimbleness, that will stay stable with a bit of pace

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Rocker will make the ski feel a little shorter than it is thats true. I mean't no insult, just saying that they didn't feel short to me and I'm taller and in fact heavier than you. If you can try before you buy thats always favourite.

They're on EBay at the min at a good price as well, how hard did you push the ski lilywhite? Someone else I spoke to said, he found it too forgiving and it buckled when he pushed it, he skied the 173 and found it short at around my body dimensions also,

Hey if you can get a great deal go for it! Thats what I'm waiting for, it sounds like your a more advanced skier than me. Having said that I had about an and half mix of (just) off piste and carved up reds, it handled well short and long terms, no trouble with initiating the turn, crud no issue, no chatter at speed down the fall line.
