Can anyone offer any reviews of Obergurgl Ski School?
I'm thinking of enrolling my two sons (13yrs and 11yrs old, both able to parallel turn) when we arrive at Easter and am looking to find out whether their instructors speak good English and what the average age of the kids classes are (their website says kids from 4+) or if they group similar ability kids together?
Any if would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Always found the ski school quite good with all of the instructors speaking good English, Obergurgl is very popular with Brits. Can't advise on the average age of the kids classes but have always found it a very family orientated ski area and imagine they would group kids of similar ability together.

They are mostly Scottish, so whether they speak good English or not, i'll leave that up to you to determine
Seriously though, we've just got back and our 8 year old skied 5 days with them, mostly morning and afternoon - in fact on 2 or 3 of the days she had 1:1s because the other kids in the class went off skiing with their parents ! Bargain. She came on wonderfully well, and was seriously frightening her mum with how fast and straight she was skiing by the end of the week. If you get Claire as a teacher, you won't go far wrong
They put similar abilities together, so there is a disparity of ages potential, but wasnt obviously a problem this week.

Haha - Scottish? I think my kids could handle that - we're from Glasgow!
Thanks for the info, sounds like the kids will have a great time.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

They all seem to speak immaculate English. You might want to check out the prices of private lessons. Considering that Obergurgl is generally incredibly expensive, the ski school private lessons are surprisingly reasonable. We found that three hours private lessons for our two children were cheaper than the ski school at Courchevel.
