Hi
We have just had our flight times changed by JET2 which means we will have to wait at Chambery airport for about 6 hours in a couple of weeks with 4 kids too. Does anyone know if there is anything to do near there or if its worh getting a taxi into the town itself or any other tips?

Is this the Esprit Bristol flight ?
PS you might want to change your username to something other than your email address. Opening yourself up to a spam attack there

If the weather is good Lac du Bourget is a great place for kids, it is at the end of the runway at Chambery airport. The nearsest lakeside village is called Bourget du Lac, it has a few hotels, a campsite and easy access to the lake with a few things to keep the kids occuppied (assuming they are open that early in the season).
The larger resort, but further away, is Aix les Bains. It has more activities and restaurants etc. but will cost you more in a taxi.
If the weather isn't great it is worth spending a few hours looking around the centre of Chambery. It costs 20 euros for a taxi from the airport to the centre of town.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If you are flying with Espirit, they have a room there with toys and games for the kids to play, change and feed little'uns and staff on hand - probably not enough to amuse for 6 hours though.

If it's a nice day the lake is a good bet - but loads of stuff will be closed.
There's absolutely nothing at the airport itself. if you're lucky, the caff might not have run out of croissants.
