For reasonably priced food and outside tables in Tignes and Val D. Any recommendations for this season please?

very good pizza at les brevieres available at the first restaurant you come across, ie with white tables. called the etoile de neige. can also recommend the restaurant in the middle of the solaise area, ie the end of the drag rope - a massive slice of quiche for EU7.50. their choc mousse was also very tasty. restaurant above le fornet is prob best mountain restaurant with excellent lamb shanks as a treat one day.
alternatively, the snow was melting so fast last week, more and more people were to be spotted eating picnics on scenic rocks which had appeared through the snow!

What Markymark29 said, plus the new restaurant at the Le Pissaillis glacier is getting good reviews both for the quality of their food and their prices. Looking forward to trying it out myself in a few weeks.

Best mountain ones we visited were the one just by the top of the Chaudanne lift above le Lavachet, and on the same side of the hill the one 3/4 of the way down the runs off the Palafour lift heading back to le Lac.

You really can't beat this for spring skiing conditions. Choose your view  and with the money you save you could buy more lessons/alcohol in the evening/...

Les Marmottes, on the Belvarde sector. They also own the new restaurant on the Val glacier that Scampi Dellahenti is referring to. They are both very popular though and I have failed to get a seat (or given up on the queue) if trying to eat at peak times. Half way down the Fornet valley is Signal which although not quite as cheap is still good value and very good food and quick service. Le Triffolet on the way down to La Daille is also great (again not the cheapest, but very good). I also had a respectable lunch at the place by the cable car station in Le Fornet.

Thanks Snowheads for those suggestions. I'm familiar with some of those places. Looking forward to trying some of them next week. Hoping for some bluebird days for a picnic too.

+1 for the Spar at La Lac. Good value, quick enough service and free Wi-Fi. We also like the Tete de Solaise and the one at the top of Chaudannes.

As some of them have already posted above, les brevieres is a place for pizzas. I still crave for that taste.
