Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi All
I'm hoping to stumble across another parent who has rented a buggy in Morzine. I have googled and found a few shops that rent them but none appear to be able to be booked on-line and contact details (email) are few & far between. And my French is as good as my Latin...
Does anyone have a good / recommended rental shops that they have used or know of?
Cheers
Neil

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

neilH, just about all ski hire shops will have some buggies - really no need to book ahead except maybe at the busiest times.
You will probably also find that ski hire shops in Morzine have somebody who speaks English pretty well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

neilH, just phone the shops. Everyone in the shops speak good English and are very helpful.
If it makes you (even) more confident then All Mountain Rentals is British owned and run and they do doorstep delivery. I don't know if they do buggies, but try them - info@allmountainrental.com . If they can't help then they'll probably be able to point you at someone who can help.
Intersport is also worth a try. They have a contact page - http://www.intersport-morzine.com/contactez-nous-169.html

Would be good to hear your experiences if you are back before 28th Jan. We go for a short break then and originally were not taking our son (21 months old) but due to child care arrangements falling through at home are now taking him on his first winter holiday.

Don't most airlines allow you to take a stroller as 'free' luggage? Easyjet and Swiss definitely do

The last time I enquired about this with Easyjet, they told me we could take a buggy, a car seat, and a travel cot.

Report back so far. Cheeky Monkeys do a large 3 wheel buggy for €40 per week and Intersport €6 per day. Both have rain covers. I am only travelling in UK half term and was advised to book in advance. FYI, we are driving so limited space in car for a bulky item. Cheers

Intersport guys were great and buggy is cool, great for snowy pavements. Rain cover and reasonable condition. I would use them again.
