Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Here we are again! This is the second C2C week this year, the first having been in January (while some of us were still working for the pennies for this trip!).

Our base this week is the newly renovated Hotel de la Valentin in Les Deux Alpes. It's a very good quality 2* establishment only a short walk from the Belle Etoile chairlift.

We had an interesting start to the week with people having to arrive at different times. Two of us came out Friday and messed about on one of the free lifts Sat pm. 4 of us had lessons as planned on Sunday, and 3 more arrived that day. The last person joined us last night and will join a lesson group today.

Great to hear you are having fun, we will be there and staying at the same hotel the second week of the Easter hols as my youngest is in Charlottes Hot Tots class (still places for 8-12YO kids who can ski reds) and hopefully I'll squeeze a few lessons in between chasing the kids round the mountains.

We're now a group of 8 and are off to view the day's video's in a mo. I managed not to fall over while skiing, but did a spectacular spreadeagle outside the Patachon snackbar (Cretes) while carrying a paper cup of hot chocolate & bottle of water. I was given a score of 9.5 by an onlooker for managing to save half the hot choc.
