Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snowsure resorts for Easter 2013?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Yes, I'm ready to book for next Easter hols - leaving 30th March!

Need to find something pretty snowsure, given it is late in season.

I have narrowed choices down to -

Montgenevre

Serre Chevalier

Val Thorens

La Plagne

Tignes

Claviere

Cervinia

Can anyone help me to decide which of these are snowsure enough, and which to avoid!

Many thanks as ever.

add Ischgl been several times 1st week in May for resort shut down WE and never disapointed with the snow, you get a top of the mountain concert and all the shops are selling off stuff half price. You just have to arrange your own trip. We got a flight to Zurich and hired a car saw Elton john 1 year and Kylie the next Cool

Lorenzo, avoid Claviere from that list (IME). Add Ischgl, Obergurgl and St Anton

Been to VT twice at Easter (2nd week of April) and been amazed by the amount of snow they had (including last season which wasn't great anyway)

VT guarantees to have a higher % of open runs than any other resort on each day it's open (till 8th may) or you get a free day pass. So that's something.

Lorenzo, I wouldn't worry too much, it's an early Easter next year.

That said Cervinia has access to the glacier like Tignes and Val T. We had a great time there earlier this season.

This far ahead, Tignes and Val T most likely to have good snow from your list. Both areas big enough and with modern lift systems that cope relatively well with Easter crowds too. On the downside, both are expensive and short on alpine charm.
