Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi, I'm new to snowheads so please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place!!
Myself and 24 others have booked a chalet I'm canazei from 10th march. We are getting mixed snow reports here, so if anyone can keep us posted from now until we go it would be most appreciated.
None of us have been there before so any advice to make it a great holiday from anyone who has been there would be great :•)

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Get the full Dolomiti superski lift pass. It doesn't cost much more than the local one, and gives to immediate access to Arabba on one side and Selva on the other, plus the rest of the Sella Ronda, and more if you have transport or take a bus.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Orange - clockwise is better, less lifts and flats. Watch out if it is windy as lifts get shut and you can get stranded, but there are usually good warnings at the major lift stations if closures are likely.
Are you thinking of going to the Marmolada and/or hidden valley sometime during the week? There is a load of info on the Dolomites here in the forum, just use the search.
Enjoy

It's been quite warm for the last couple of days but the temperature has dropped down today. There's no off-piste but the parks and pistes are all in good condition and we have some snow forecast for tomrrow which will top things up nicely.
If you jump on the bus from Canazei and go to Alba you can ski the Ciampac area that leads to Buffare and Cantiaccio - it's very chilled out over there and a lovely day trip with some good long runs to enjoy.
