Poster: A snowHead

A quick check of the snowcams this morning show that Tignes had snow down to about 2000m overnight. Just a little dusting and I'm sure it will melt in just a few hours, but for me this means winter is on its way

Not surprised, we've had a fair amount of rain and the overnight temperatures are on the way down now. I notice there's snow at Gornergrat at Zermatt now as well.

rob@rar.org.uk, yes a good sign - I don't know how windy it was up on the glacier, but it chucked it down all day yesterday. I can see a sprinkling on the peaks behind Arc 1600 and 1800 as well!

There was fresh snow in the Jungfrau area as well, in between showers I went out on the bike and you could see there'd been new snow.

PG, I checked the Arc 1950 webcams and you can just about see some snow in the background (I wish they hadn't turned all their webcams to point on the same direction!).
